The odd ramble…
Copy for permanent displays
Writing “50th anniversary” copy for permanent displays is one of the most rewarding storytelling projects. Especially when it’s been admired by berth holders and visitors to Lymington Yacht Haven marina for over 3 years.
How does a copywriter encapsulate impact?
A bit late to the party, I’ve only just learned of Scaramouche Sailing Trust. I was so blown away by the difference sailing is making to the lives of inner city kids that I offered to help tell their story by volunteering copywriting.
Stories are golddust
Storytelling is a great way to sell what you do, well. This is a story I wrote for Troon Yacht Haven, capturing the history of this beautiful Oyster Smack “Rosa & Ada”, built in 1908, and what having it berthed at Troon has meant for her owner Duncan Baillie.
Storytelling that celebrates change
People are at the heart of storytelling. And by extension your marketing.
I’ve had the joy of interviewing lots of characters and been privileged enough to write their stories. Here’s a handful of talented men and women in the yachting industry, all determined to have a positive impact on the world; whether it’s ocean conservation, plastic pledges or diversity and inclusion.
