Copywriting in the Wild

I was in London today, at the Natural History Museum.

In the cab on the way home we passed through Victoria and I noticed the grasses and trees I’d written about a few weeks ago.

Being a freelance copywriter requires that I sit at my desk most days, so when a client asked if I’d like to visit some of the commercial gardens they design and maintain I jumped at the chance.

Beautifully thought out, community-centric green spaces outside hospitals, shopping centres, on terraces, rooftops and indoor planting in office blocks and apartments.

We took a tour of their gardens and I saw London in a completely new light. The green spaces bristled and shone in the sunlight.

I was very proud today as I caught sight of the breeze blowing across the green grasses and the birds investigated the newly budding blossom.

What a joy to have brought that to the city.

And what a joy it is to articulate their work on their website, in blogs, projects, press articles, award nominations and social media posts.
